Integrated activities in the environment towards water quality protection and sustained management of water resources for local communities

The study will be carried out in selected areas of Warmiysko-Mazurskie Voivodeship i.e. Lyna river-basin in Poland, which is selected due to it's natural and landscape value. The local communities will be consulted in deciding the level of actions and inv estments which is to be proposed. The next stage will comprise cataloging the sites with regards to runoff, technology and efficiency of sewage treatment plant, solid waste management, bio-indicators, soil with regard of water diffusion and impurities tra nslocation. In the main and final stage, based on catalogued information, using modern Norwegian and Polish solutions, systems and technologies will be defined and proposed. These actions shall focus on a) to decrease of eutrophication of one large and on e small lake, b) Norwegian DOSCON or/and Polish system introducing for chemical treatment of sewage, c) application of Norwegian and/or Polish system for solid waste treatment and management, d) bio-indicators and soil expertise to manage runoff re-steer ing.
