Norway-Canada collaborative project between Brock University, Department of Chemistry and University of Oslo, School of Pharmacy

The purpose of this project is the establishment of an active research and exchange program between Brock University and University of Oslo. Specifically, the Chemistry Department and the Centre for Biotechnology at Brock University and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Oslo seek to 1) establish collaborations in research and 2) exchange of research personnel. To initiate this program we propose a two-month sojourn of Professor Hudlicky at the School of Pharmacy University of Oslo, June 1, 2010-July 31, 2010, in order to establish active research projects, submit common research proposals to The Research Council of Norway. Professor Hudlicky will also offer two short courses to faculty and students. The origin of the colla boration between professors Hudlicky and Hansen dates back some ten years ago. Several common scientific papers have already been published and the relationship has been maintained by visits to USA and Canada by Professor Hansen. We believe our collaborat ion will be further advanced with Professor Hudlicky's visit to Norway.
