Exchange Semester Norway

In the Spring Semester 2011 I will attend the BI Handelshoyskolen Oslo, Norway for one exchange semester. I applied to go there for several reasons. First of all, this gives me the chance to broaden my inter-cultural competency and offers a possibility t o meet new people. Second, this will offer me a way to further increase my english speaking capabilities. Third, finding one-self in a unknown environment trains flexibility and decision making capabilities. Fourth, for my personell development I feel it neccessary to experience other cultures and see how challenges are tackeled. Broader spoken, the exchange semester will open new perspectives which is for my the most important thing. To easy people tend to forget that there are more ways to see the same thing. Since this is human the only way, as I see it, to beware of this is to gain experience. Last but not least, I enjoy being in new surroundings. Furthermore, the exchange semester can be considered to be an asset in my CV. The BI is an excellent uni versity and I am more than happy to have this opportunity. Furthermore the exchange semester allows me to better allign my studies with my interests since the BI offers courses Mannheim does not which interest me very much.
