Fruit, Guilt and Responsibility - An Interdisciplinary Study Project on the ability of Law to Manage the Scarce Resources of Nature

Climate change and the growing scarcity of natural resources lead to an increased need for the management of (potential) resource conflicts through law. This study project aims to evaluate how law has contributed so far to solving resource conflicts and h ow law should respond to the environmental challenge. Guided by the conceptual labels of Fruit, Guilt and Responsibility, this project involves legal studies in various fields, such as property law, environmental and maritime law. A political science pers pective is added by studying the merits of the Norwegian system in redistributing the wealth generated by its rich natural resources.
