Application for personal mobility grant

I have been a student at the Master's Programme in Political Science since August 2010. During the spring semester 2011, I have the possibility to take a semester abroad, and I want to use the possibility of taking this semester at the Freie Universität B erlin. There are two main reasons for why I want to take a semester at the Freie Universität. The first is that the diversity of different courses offered at the Freie Universität will be a positive contribution to my Master's Degree. Having a particula r interest in European politics and the EU, I will be able to take courses focusing on Germany in the EU and seeing the EU from a German perspective, which will be a valuable academic experience for me. The second reason why I want to take a semester in G ermany, is that this can improve my knowledge of German language, culture and politics. I find it highly relevant to have specialized knowledge about Germany, Germany being one of the largest EU-countries and one of Norway's most important trading partner s. In addition, I have an interest in Germany in general. During my Bachelor's Degree I spent one semester at the Mannheim University as an Erasmus student, I have written my Bachelor's Thesis about German politics and also have had an internship at th e German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Norwegen). I also have an advanced knowledge of German. All this have increased my interest in Germany, and a semester in Germany would therefore be highly rewarding for me.
