The role and regularity of successful innovation process and regional innovation system development has been discovered and described at the end of 20th century. From the scientific point of view ? project is going to investigate correlation and impact in -between innovation process development at firm level affected by regional innovation system. The research will give insights into the RIS and innovation process correlation, the research topic is rapidly gaining in popularity and acceptance. Also, the study will test the usefulness of a perspective that is underdeveloped in the literature. I would like to accomplish following tasks by the research project: 1) research Norwegian regional innovation system by studying institutional framework; 2) observ e and obtain information on university?s role in regional innovation system and key player; 3) conduct interview of at least 10 persons involved in the RIS as actors; 4) prepare and execute questionnaire of at least 20 students to get relevant data for Ph d thesis and prove education level impact. Hypothesis: 1) Innovation management hypothesis ? innovation process management efficiency is greatly affected by regional innovation system. 2) Proper education can positively affect further formulation and i mplementation of innovation process by individual in company. Work plan and host organisation: I will conduct my research under supervision of Tatiana Iakovleva. She is associate professor at Stavanger Center for Innovation Research. Center for Innovation Research are important elements of RIS.I have also chosen particular supervisor, due to reason that area of her research is close to the topic, I would like to work on.
