I første månedene av 2015 kandidaten samarbeidet med professor Steven Gabriel for å skrive hennes site artikkel "The impact of end-user market integration and smart grid on electricity retailers in the Nordic region".

The proposed project will address the future power market dominated by a SmartGrid and small-scale renewable energy production. It will be a cooperation between INA (Institutt for naturforvaltning) at the University of Life Sciences (Universitetet for Mil jø- og Biovitenskap, UMB) at Ås and Navita Systems AS in Halden. Both institutions are member of the The Norwegian Center of Expertise on Smart Energy Markets (NCE SEM) in Halden. A principal aim of the project is to create new knowledge and educate a Ph D candidate in the field of energy markets, with particular emphasis on SmartGrid and distributed small-scale production. Given the large set of strong drivers currently affecting the development of the future energy system it seems clear that in the pro cess towards a future low carbon energy system focus must be placed on both: - the large scale international trends in environmental policies, technological development and market integration - the potentially increasing role of small scale production t echnologies, demand control systems and local/regional variations in supply-demand balances. The market conditions related to the future net and changes in the economic and operational conditions for producers, consumers, prosumers and grid operators wil l receive prime focus. Based on these findings the project will interpret the effect of this for Navita and its customers. Consequently the project will produce new insight pertinent to Navitas ability to position itself strategically in a future energy market dominated by an AMS/SmartGrid regime. The project should further yield a basis for enhancement and extension of Navita Systems POMAX software portfolio. The project will have particular relevance to the future development of the MDM (Meter Data M anagement) part of the software system that Navita offers its present and future customers.
