Hosting the 7th Annual Conference of the Europe-Mediterranean Research Business Institute (EMRBI) at the University of Agder

UiA will host the 7th Annual conference of the Europe-Mediterranean Research Business Institute (EMRBI) in Kristiansand during Fall 2014. The conference attracts approximately 250 scholars and policy makers, within the fields of Economics, Business Admin istration, and Management. Participants arrive from all over the world, but primarily from European and Mediterranean countries. The 2014 conference theme will be: The Future of Entrepreneurship - Emerging Challenges and Opportunities in Europe and Beyon d. Accordingly, while the conference will include multiple tracks welcoming studies from a variety of business and management disciplines, it will especially welcome submissions addressing both current knowledge domains of entrepreneurship, as well as f uture developments, challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship in general, and in the European context in particular. Such event is well timed to address urgent questions which involve academia, government and industry in a period of economic slo wdown and uncertainty in Europe. This urgency and interest are captured by initiatives such as the European Community's Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan, as well as in various programs of Norwegian government bodies (i.e. Innovasjon Norge projects, Mer Entreprenørskap, Ungt Entreprenørskap, etc.). The event itself will be based on two days of intensive parallel sessions. Each day will have four 1,5 hour sessions. In each session, 5 thematic tracks will run in parallel. Each session will include of 4-5 paper presentations, and will be managed by a track chair and discussant. All in all, 150 papers are expected to be presented in 30 sessions.
