Through this project, new and innovative products will be designed and manufactured using lignin-based PUR materials. A partnership comprising the whole value chain will jointly demonstrate the properties, sustainability, p!ossibilities, and versatility o f this new material.? CreaLig aims at developing innovative, design-driven products and solutions based on PUR with lignin- based polyols and with lignin as a filler. The new PUR materials combine two important properties highly valued by the creative in dustry and the consumers, namely improved physical properties and a more sustainable material with a lower environmental footprint. CreaLig comprises the entire value chain from waste producers through material processing to material testing, product pro ducers and finally designers and the end users. Emphasis will be put on the designers? and end users? needs and ideas, which will ensure user-friendly and appealing products. An interlinkage of technical WPs through a designated Design Development WP will secure the active participation of designers and end users throughout all stages of the project, serving as a constant guidance and reminder of the overall objective.
