Participation in European Association for Development Research and Training Institutes Executive Committee and other EADI activities.

The Norwegian Association for Development Research (NFU) has been a member of European Association for Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI)for several years. EADI has been existing for about 35 years and has members in almost al European countries. EADI organizes various conferences, workshops and sub-committee meetings every year and a General Conference every three years with themes that are of importance and relevance to the field of Development Studies. For example, the theme of the 2014 General conference was 'Responsible Development in a Polycentric World: Inequality, citizenship and the middle-classes'. It has been the practice of NFU to elect a member to represent the Norwegian Development Research environment at the EADI Executive Committee. I have been elected to the Executive committee of EADI in 2014 and my term of office will be for three years. I am expected to participate in EADI executive committee meetings, the General Conference, sub-Committee Meetings on Conferences and Working Groups and other relevant meetings and seminars organized by EADI and EADI working groups.
