Norsk posisjonering for deltakelse KIC innen Added Value Manufacturing (AVM), call 2016, for 2015

Industry and research representatives both from Manufuture and EFFRA have expressed their strong desire for an early launch of the proposed added value manufacturing knowledge and innovation community (KIC). A KIC in Manufacturing has however been on the Strategic agenda within Manufuture since 2008. The work has now been more intensive during 2014 with a good Noregain position in the consortium. SINTEF has together with NTNU been active on this arena and has today a position in the network that works to establish a Manufuture based organisation for a KIC within Manufacturing for a call in 2016 with Norwegian participation. SINTEF is also in the coregroup of the KIC. The European Industry and the European Council are today prioritizing action on competitiveness and re-industrialization. According to the European Commission proposal contained within the next research program, Horizon 2020, a KIC focusing on added value manufacturing is confirmed to be launched within 2017. The due date for proposals are annoncedto be September 2016.
