MineGas Phase 2

The overall aim of the MineGas project is to upscale, pilot and commercialise our innovative and patented system enabling commercial production of CH4 in abandoned coal mines where gas yields have dropped under technically usable (i.e. methane concentrations lower than 20%) and economically profitable production levels. MineGas is a profitable and cost effective solution for the abatement of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In order to successfully implement MineGas and subsequently execute our Business Innovation Plan and Commercialisation Plan, we have outlined 6 Commercialisation Objectives (COs) to be achieved through our Phase II project: - Technology Maturation: Overall objective to optimise our prototype technology from current TRL7 to TRL8 by means of an integrated series of technology readiness level elevating CIAs (WP1). - Large-scale Piloting together with one large end-users: Primary objective to demonstrate the commercial potential of MineGas in real operating environments together with two large-scale end-users. The piloting activities will demonstrate important product specifications in terms of performance, functionality and reliability - elevate our prototype technology from TRL8 to TRL9 (WP2). - Supply Chain Development: Develop our supply chain both upstream and downstream to meet expected market demand and achieve projected economic impact post project (WP3). - Commercialisation: Continuously perform market analytics covering the world market to determine an optimal set-up and the best industrial applications to target, and to perform cost and price sensitivity analysis for optimal positioning for product launch (WP4). - Dissemination and Communication: Develop a detailed plan and execute the plan for stakeholder engagement, project result exploitation and dissemination (WP5). - Innovation Management and Business Innovation Plan Development: Implement a detailed innovation management strategy and develop our final BIP and associated CP (WP6)
