Tildelt: kr 45 999

Arrangement of 3rd Annual International workshop on Soft and Complex Matter, at Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (DNVA), Drammensvegen 78, Oslo, Norway, October 6-7, 2016.The 3rd Annual International workshop on Soft and Complex Matter was preceded by two workshops in 2014 and 2015.Soft and Complex Matter is a very active field of research with several large international conferences in the field each year. Self-assembly from nanoparticles, into nano-meso structures are essential themes in this area of research, and this is the main topic of our 2016 event. In this particular case, or 2016 workshop is closely related to a running Nano2021 project ?Graphene-NanoClay Systems?, project number 250619.The theme of the 2016 workshop is self-assembly in particular self-assembly of photonic structures for control of coloration by scattered light, which is a very ?hot topic? in the area of soft and complex matter research at the moment. Several prestigious lecturers from several countries in Europe (for example Univ. Cambridge, Univ. Oxford, Int. Curie and others) have been invited to the 2016 event. Several of the participants have submitted and plan to submit joint applications to Horizon2020 program calls, in particular, joint applications to M-Era.Net, FET-OPEN, and MARIE SKODOWSKA-CURIE INNOVATIVE TRAINING NETWORKS.
