RURITAGE Approach RURITAGE will use a systemic approach to deeply analyse X Role Models that have been grouped in six themes concerning the following topics: ­ Pilgrimage: routes to holy places or historical routes are representing an excellent example on how to regenerate and develop rural regions, also crosscutting several Member States and/or European regions regions. ­Rural food production for sustainable growth: there is a growing trend of valuing and regenerating traditional crops and products in rural areas of Europe. On the one side, traditional farmers are re­? innovating themselves following more sustainable agriculture practices (organic, bio, etc.) and on the other side young people. Migration: there is a growing and alarming issue all around Europe regarding migrant?s arrival and integration. Several best practices existed in Europe where migrants have been integrated in rural areas for boosting their potential and helping their regeneration. ­Art/Music Exhibition or festival: culture could be a driver for sustainable growth as demonstrated in several festival/art exhibitions around Europe. In this case, cultural landscape and heritage can be ?invaded? by artists, and musicians and consequently by tourists in several periods of the year, involving local population in the creation of the event. ­Renaturing/community resilience: resilience of community and cultural heritage/landscape successfully lead to rural regeneration in several cases. Biosphere: cultural heritage in natural biosphere is an important attractiveness for several place around the world.
