The project is about a comprehensive and systemic approach for combining cyber and physical security solutions to protect energy installations over their lifespan involving a wide variety of concepts, including, systemic risk management, prevention by design, monitoring and detection, response and mitigation, and information sharing. This pertains to addressing issues such as: threats in cyber, physical and combined cyber-physical domain; interdependency among critical infrastructures, cascading effects and the protection of legacy equipment; and developing cost-effective solutions for risk management solutions. The activities planned during the planned trip to IIITA are as follows: (i) Meeting with the software engineering and cyber security research group at IIITA; (ii) To discuss the specific Work Packages and distribution of work between the Indian and Norwegian partners; (iii) To discuss the project management and administrative issues (DST-India and RCN, Norway) that needs to be addressed by both the institutions; (iv) Finalization of structure and scientific aspect of the proposal.
