Composite Ironless Motors in Automotive Powertrains

The proposed EUROSTARS project titled "Composite IronLess Motors in Automotive Powertrains" (COILMAP) is a joint project proposal between consortium partners Alva Industries AS (NO), Uniti Sweden AB (SE), and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (DE) with the goal of developing a novel composite electric motor for use in automotive powertrains. The individual consortium partners will have designated roles covering the technical and commercial challenges of the novel production method and resulting electric motors. Further clarification of roles and responsibilities is part of the objective of this PES project. The goal of the PES budget is to cover travel expenses between the project participants in the application process to discuss the EUROSTARS framework, the application development plan and specific divisions of work and responsibilities in the COILMAP project. The first available application deadline is September 14th, 2017. While the intention is to submit a successful project proposal to this call, there is another EUROSTARS call closing in March 2018 that will be relevant should the application be unsuccessful.
