ESORICS 2017 European Symposium on Research in Computer Security

Tildelt: kr 49 999

ESORICS is a prestigious European research event in Computer Security. Since its inception in 1990, ESORICS has been hosted in a series of European countries and has established itself as the premiere European research event in computer security attracting an international audience from both the academic and industrial communities. Computer security is concerned with the protection of information in environments where there is a possibility of intrusion or malicious action. The aim of ESORICS is to further the progress of research in computer security by establishing a European forum for bringing together researchers in this area, by promoting the exchange of ideas with system developers and by encouraging links with researchers in related areas. This is the 22nd symposium in the ESORICS series. This year the Symposium is organised by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, campus Gjøvik and will be held in Oslo, Norway, in the Gamle Museet, on September 11-13, 2017. The co-located workshop will be held in conjunction with the Symposium, on September 14-15, 2017. Papers offering novel research contributions in all aspects of computer security are solicited for submission to ESORICS 2017. The primary focus is on original, high-quality and unpublished research. ESORICS has traditionally attracted high caliber and complimentary workshops that have collocated with the Symposium. This has enabled delegates to achieve maximum benefit from their visits; by first attending ESORICS and then remaining for their chosen workshops. Workshops will aim at providing a forum on emerging topics of high interest to the security and privacy community. Keynotes will be delivered by Cormac Herley from Microsoft Research, Paul Syverson from U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and Sandro Etalle from Eindhoven Technical University. More 200 researchers in the area of computer security are expected at the symposium and workshop, including a young audience of students.
