I aim to determine how differences in individual behaviour and in spatial patterns contributes to variation in survival, reproduction and consequently population dynamics. The main source of data for my PhD comes from existing mark-recapture data as part of the long-term study project on the Ny-Ålesund barnacle geese population. However, data for this question will come from additional intensive ring readings and daily individual observations of behaviour and flock sizes in Kongsfjorden and Ny-Ålesund.
