SikkertNOK Conference 2017

SikkertNOK 2017 is the seventh chapter of the annual national conference on information security. It serves the dual purpose of raising public awareness on information security and bringing key people in the information security sector and the research sector together. NorSIS is the national organizer of the ?National Security Month? and organizes a series of activities and events to raise awareness on information and cyber security threats and to disseminate information on new technology developments and good practices for security. In this context, SikkertNOK is the major closing event for the security month and it constitutes an open forum for debating the information security threats that pervasively concerns the whole society. For seven years in a row now, the SikkertNOK annual conference has been hosted by NTNU in Gjøvik, Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (IIK) jointly organised with NorSIS, the Norwegian Senter for Information Security. The Key note speaker, Professor Matt Bishop, US Davis, USA, the author of one of the earliest and major university text-book in the area ?Computer Security Art and Science, will kick-off the conference with a keynote speech on ?Teaching Programmers Security Coding?. Secure coding is a fundamental skill to build a secure cyberspace. (See attached programme). It is expected an audience of around 100 participants from the government and the private business sector, and a young audience of students and researchers from the academia. The conference is open and participation is free.
