wheel.me Genius: Smart Wheels for facility management and smart home & smart building solutions

wheel.me is an Internet of Things (IoT) company, helping people and businesses improve the way they live and work. In essence, what is being attempted with self-driving cars outdoors, wheel.me perform indoors through small and cost-effective embedded robots - Smart Wheels. As a winner in the SME Instrument phase 1 program (project no. 782788, score 13.81), wheel.me is looking to expand its efforts in an SME Instrument phase 2 project. The project will fully leverage the results of a recently concluded Feasibility Study. The primary objective of the project is to bring a novel facility management and smart home & smart building solution to a level of technical and commercial maturity where it is tested, completed and qualified - and a detailed commercialization plan underpins the market launch. Achieving the primary objective will bring wheel.me to the point of negotiating pilot projects and commercial launch with clients in Europe and the rest of the world. To reach the primary objective, wheel.me will address a series of specific technical and commercial secondary objectives covering advanced prototyping, upscaling, market validation and documentation. The secondary objectives will be grouped into three categories; i) technology development and optimization, ii) validation together with large industry partners, and iii) commercial readiness and communication. wheel.me is in the process of creating a work plan with work packages (WPs), deliverables and milestones. Our current plan is to have five WPs covering a 24 months implementation period. A Gantt chart is currently being developed. In terms of technical maturity, the proposed solution is at TRL 6. The PES funding will enable wheel.me to get into position with partners and shore up a high-quality application to H2020.
