Some studies have shown a connection between moisture problems in the building and increased incidence of respiratory symptoms, mainly cough, piping in the chest and, to a lesser degree, asthma. The relative risk indicates an over frequency of between 1.4 and 2.2 times observed to buildings without moisture problems. Sensitive groups are children and people with asthma and allergy diseases. The connection is so clear that it is imperative that it should be taken into consideration, both in preventive indoor climate work and in the case where indoor climate problems already exist. Also, other diseases like fatigue and headaches have been linked to exposure to moisture. Several possible mechanisms of action have been proposed. Moisture and moisture damage can provide good growth conditions for microbiological contamination like mites, mildew and bacteria, and some studies indicate microbiological contamination is the "linkage" between moisture and health problems. Molliesafe have developed a prototype that almost eradicates, and revolutionizes how to manage humidity in humid rooms. The project shall develop an advanced prototype, ready to go to market version of Molliesafe. We shall conduct tests to validate the effect Molliesafe has on the relative humidity of the surrounding construction. We will also develop a logging tool that detects moisture in construction and stores this for future reference. The tool will collect data from sensors and store in a database for further analytics. The data will be analyses, and AI/ML models will be developed for identifying the root causes of any consequences of humidity. Molliesafe reduces and prevents moisture in wet rooms, cellars, and attics, as well as refrigerators and freezers, and is unique in the market. The outcome will be an advanced system for managing humidity in buildings.
