ALBATROSS aims to: (i) Increase the evidence of climate change impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services; (ii) Assess vulnerability and adaptive capacity to CC through selected case studies (CS); (iii) Develop integrated models that estimate the relationships between the social, ecological and economic functional impacts of CC on biodiversity, ecosystems and ecosystem services; (iv) Build a set of nested scenarios of climatic, non-climatic and policy strategies’ impacts until 2050; (v) Analyze scenario impacts in integrated models to identify boundaries, tipping points and feedback mechanisms; (vi) Provide a monetary valuation of CC impacts; (vii) Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of existing and proposed Nature-Based Solutions (NBS); (viii) Link the performance of NBS to environmental policy indicators; (ix) Conduct a policy analysis that shows how NBS might support policy agendas at various scales.
