Global Universal Design Commission Europe

We are seeking funding for the four network and capacity building and knowledge creation and exchange activities. Each event was selected based specifically on the networks we will target for developing H2020 proposals. These networks represent an untapped resource for identifying and connecting with relevant H2020 consortia and provide a unique opportunity for GUDC-EU as a new start-up to connect with well-established, influential and high-level collaborators from the academic, public, private and civil society sectors. Prior to each event, GUDC-EU will prepare specific talking points, presentations, and “elevator pitches” in order to present a business profile that is relevant for and attractive to a variety of potential H2020 partners. In addition, we will continue to profile, on an on-going basis, the event attendees and presenters who represent the highest potential partners and whose organizational missions and topics of expertise align with GUDC-EU’s own interests in universal design and social innovation. Finally, following each event, GUDC-EU will evaluate the efficacy of and satisfaction with the event’s opportunities to connect with relevant consortia partners. These efforts, preparation, profiling, and evaluation will be documented and form the basis of the PES final report. The four H2020-related events include the M-Enabling Forum Europe in Dusseldorf Germany, the UN’s Internet Governance Forum in Berlin Germany, the International Telecommunication Union’s Accessible Europe: ICT4ALL in St. Julian’s Malta, and the UN’s World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva Switzerland.
