The first cross-industry and standard-free Common Data Environment for document sharing and reuse of asset documentation.

Tildelt: kr 99 999

The objective of the GIE-UP project is to prototype, pilot, and commercialise our revolutionary and cross-industry asset management system, that will substitute the traditional slow and resource-heavy process of documenting industrial assets to become the new method for asset handling in EU. We will target asset intensive industries including energy and utilities, government and defense, manufacturing, transportation and logistics. GIE-UP is expected to bring economic, social, and environmental impacts throughout EU. We have designed a platform, GIE, that reduces the documentation time in an average of 53% with a unique and efficient process that takes around 40 minutes per maintainable item to gather the information from available sources (manufacturer and/or supplier websites or other libraries available on the internet) and establishing it in a structured repository for efficient use and reuse. The GIE-UP FTI project is to further reduce Sharecat’s documentation time by 62% from 40 to 15 minutes by further optimizing the AI/ML algorithms and the analytics framework. It will represent 82% faster than traditional methods needing 84 minutes on average. In addition, we want to make the GIE-UP system to work cross–industry in asset intensive sectors. Using the traditional method, a size asset of 100,000 maintainable items and 46,000 documents is forecasted at 368,462 man-hours to be utilised and cost $12,483,332. With the existing GIE these are reduced to 171,369 revised man-hours utilised and cost $5,781,465. However, with the GIE-UP FTI project, we will be able to further reduce documentation time, resulting in 65,121 revised man-hours and cost at around $2,196.961.
