Carbon - The Next Generation of AI driven Wifi Homes

CARBON, the new member of the EyeSaaS Service Suite - The project goal is to develop the next generation ofa managed wireless home network system which establishes reliable, secure, and consistent wireless connectivity in every corner of the home. The customer group is Premium high-speed Internet Service Providers in Europe. Today, a the managed wireless enables Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to provide fast and consistent WiFi connections to their end-users. Advanced ISPs today offer fast 100Mbps-1Gbps broadband connections to the home, but cannot reliably distribute this bandwidth to all wireless clients in every room of the home. New technology such as FTTx, WiFi6, and cloud analytics offer potential solutions, but there is a gap which require integration between the technology, the business models and people's behaviour and demand. A holistic solution which to be able supports changed user behaviour and demanding, applications such as UHD video streaming, IoT, healthcare, homeschooling and assisted living In the digital future for the European community, we expect to have extensive smart home applications such as smart renewable energy management, high quality online home education for children, and online medical consultancy and treatments. Such a digital world requires fast, secure, private and reliable internet connection. The managed wireless network will establish a basis for those applications. Particularly, the Carbon self care app will enable end-users to monitor and control their home network which will help to address their privacy concerns. The end-user needs to be empowered to take control of their own personal network data.
