Collaborative learning using indigenous and scientific knowledge to action social innovation and resilience to climate change

COGNATE will: • Establish up-to-date understanding of the challenges faced by Indigenous and local people in building resilient and sustainable social economies in the Artic region. • Quantify the level of appreciation for TEK amongst scientific experts working on Arctic-related topics. • Implement co-learning pathways between different experts including holders of TEK and outside scientific knowledge creators to address social and environmental issues impacting Arctic regions. • Establish youth-focused collaborative spaces for Indigenous youth to engage with policy makers at local and regional levels.
