The STAKEHY project will have two main elements: 1 FG/BDG participation in Work Groups/Work Packages (Up-stream activities) 2 National activities and events (Down stream activities) Upstream activities: The main goal of the European Hydrogen and Fuel C ell Technology Platform is to facilitate and accelerate the development and deployment of European hydrogen and fuel cell based energy systems. The mission of the HFP JFBD is summarised in the following 5 bulletpoints: - Provide recommendations to the Advisory Council (“AC”) on public and private financing for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in Europe. - To lay the foundations for the substantial private financing needs required to establish a hydrogen economy in the European Union. - To identify n ew and early markets and near term market opportunities related to hydrogen and fuel cells technologies and system solutions. - To evaluate needs and actions required for supporting a longer- term market development for hydrogen and fuel cells in the ener gy markets. - To provide recommendations on activities and actions required for bridging the gap from product development to commersialisation. Downstream activities: In order to develop a plan for national stakeholders involvement one should organize a set of work shops and seminars, as well as conduct meetings with individual parties. The programs for the work shops and seminars will have to be developed in close cooperation with the mentioned sub group for business development (SGBD) as well as with the actual participants. Furthermore, the Norwegian Hydrogen Forum will be consulted and invited to participate in the planning and realisation of the events as seen appropriate. There is an estimation of 4 workshops during 2005 (quarterly intervals) as well as a final conference at the end of the project, in 1Q 2006. The detailed planning for these work shops/seminars will be established in line with the GBNN scheduling of such events.
