Well-optimize relates to the research targets "Reservoarovervåking og -styring, spesielt hurtig oppdatering og bedre reservoirmodeller" and "Sanntids reservoar styring" of the Petromaks programme.
The project team will collect frontier knowledge from dif ferent diciplines, and based on this information:
* Identify efficient methods for estimation of model states and parameters
* Identify efficient methods for dynamic optimization of the production from clusters of wells, e.g. maximize the total oil produ ction, subject to constraints such as follows;
o Limitations in the top-side gas treatment systems
o Limitations in subsea cluster flow-line capacity
The time span for the optimization is expected to be 1 day to 1-2 months.
* Quantify the benef it of using dynamic optimization for well control as compared to steady-state optimization for oil-wells
An extended framework for dynamic modelling of the near-well regions will be developed, covering a broader range of fields with rate-dependent fluid composition.
Cybernetica's technology is expected to be well suited for dynamic optimization of oil wells. Cybernetica's current strategy is to develop products for well monitoring and control as a new business area. The business development will be pers ued in close co-operation with strategic partners. Activites to strengthen and develop working relations with named partners are included in the project.
The applied project is a first step of a five-year development plan.
