Support Innovation in Norwegian healthcare sector by establishing collaboration and project financing using European funding tools

The NorEUNet network have supported innovation and collaboration between the Norwegian Medtech industry, research and academic organisations, hospitals, and municipalities all actors in the health and welfare technologies areas. During the three years project duration, we have organised more than 200 meetings, workshops, seminars, and b2match events for Norwegian and international partners with the aim of developing EU projects and business partnerships. We have supported more than 60 companies in their efforts to shape ideas, products, services, and submit applications for EU funding (e.g. H2020, SME Instrument, AAL, Eurostars) out of which 18 companies have been granted funding with a total of ca. 800 MNOK. We have supported 26 collaborative initiatives for the H2020 calls with a mix of partners from all over Europe succeeding to secure two collaborative projects funding with ca.12 MNOK.

We brought together various Norwegian stakeholders, develop new national and international partnerships for research, business and commercial purposes. We pushed the Norwegian stakeholders to participate in EU funding area, and we offered business innovation services to accelerating the innovation in SMES. Through our experts we offered support in proposal ideation, writing and implementation, business innovation coaching helping innovators build solid businesses that have changed the markets and the way we live. Norway Health Tech had become a preferred partner and cluster when organisations activating in health field are looking for EU grants, product or service development, innovation activities such as demonstration, testing, prototyping, pilot lines, scale-up studies and market replication. We opened the European and pan-European market for the Norwegian actors in health field, bringing business partners, and investors to our ecosystem that will last beyond the project lifetime.

The NorEUNet network will support innovation and collaboration within Norwegian Medtech, eHealth and welfare technology sector by engaging European markets, industrial leaders and R&D providers through exploitation of European funding opportunities. We will facilitate the innovation strategy development in the organizations incorporating integration of European funding/collaboration opportunities as part of their strategy. The network will provide a meeting place and nurture collaboration among stakeholders in the healhtcare value chain, giving rise to new constellations, among the industry, R&D institutes and authorises and end users. Through this effort we will develop EU project ideas leading to establishment of collaboration project proposals submitted to European Commission for funding under H2020, Eurstars amd AAL programs.
