SET 10: NorEUnergy II - Establishment of Norwegian-EU networks in the bioenergy field

The number of activities conducted in NorEUnergy II in 2018 and 2019 are considerable and most importantly have resulted in successful outcomes in terms of project initiatives towards H2020, not only in terms of proposal submissions but also and most importantly in granted H2020 projects. The fact that most of the activities have been designed for the Norwegian bioenergy community but also with a strong involvement of bioenergy international networks, taking advantage of the national and European networks SINTEF has built through its base in Trondheim and Brussels, has certainly been an added value in the success of this EU-network building project.

With that in mind one could say that the impact of NorEUnergy in contributing to generation of H2020 projects in the field of bioenergy has been remarkable.

NorEUnergy II will focus on increasing the mobilization and participation of Norwegian actors in the field of bioenergy, as one of the prioritized scientific areas in the new integrated SET-Plan. For this purpose, a list of concrete actions are planned: 1.Arrangement of dedicated workshops/brokerage events on H2020 bioenergy calls 2.Participation in national bioenergy-related open workshops/conferences 3.Contact with Brussels-based renowned stakeholders 4.Communication/Dissemination activities The NorEUnergy II members involved in these actions represent the Norwegian bioenergy sector in a broad spectre. Additionally, it is planned to establish dialogue with key European/international partners relevant for the realization of Norwegian bioenergy value chains. The fact that the Project coordinator is based in Brussels offers a unique added value to achieve the desired targets.
