H2020/NATUCORE: NATure-based Solutions in Urban context: Spatial COllaborative planning approach for REgenerate urban ecosystems,SC5-13-2018

NATUCORE combines three existing concepts into the framework and related tools to create an innovative decision making support in the field of sustainable urban planning based on NBS. (a) System Thinking and Anticipatory Governance to address sustainable Urban Metabolism (UM) (b) The integration of modelling approach into spatial planning (c) The collaborative approach Ide: NATUCORE focus on strengthening knowledge for decision-making processes based on the planning, design, construction, deployment, and monitoring of ecological restoration measures in urban areas using NBS. Starting from previous experiences and business cases in Europe and China, the project aims to compile more comprehensive evidence on the social,economic and environmental effectiveness of NBS,suggesting new practices and tools integrating innovative restoration approaches to finally foster NBS systemic implementation.
