A Disruptive PaaS Human Mobility Platform

The overall vision of the CityAI Phase 2 project is to prototype, pilot and commercialise a disruptive Platform as a Service (PaaS) human mobility platform that faces users’ increasing need for real-time accurate real-world data. The aim is to enable a change of paradigm in the human mobility analysis sector from digital data to real world data analysis and ultimately enhance quality, performance and interactivity of urban services and increase contact between citizens and government. CityAI is a big data and intelligence platform to load, interpret, contextualize and understand enormous sets of data cost-effectively and conveniently. It activates unused data resources from telecom companies and incorporates multisource mobility, proximity and locations signals to create a comprehensive understanding of real-world behaviour to deliver location intelligence and mobility analytics. By combining and shorting raw telecom data and adding background information e.g. administrative boundaries, roads, public transport zones, weather, traffic, nearby events, CityAI creates a reliable resource to understand how city users reacts to changes in their cities. The aim of the project is to move our current prototype technology to full commercialisation onto the global markets. Our technology has a major market potential compared to current state-of-the-art technology. To increase our commercial success and impact, we have created a Strategic Business Plan as a detailed roadmap, describing all necessary activities we need to undertake to ensure a successful market introduction. Now we seek to develop our Commercialisation Plan, which will form an important part of the final Business Innovation Plan, to be created in this Phase 2 project.
